A Recurrent Yeast Infection Can Be Very Annoying

Best Treatment Is Butoconazole

Recurrent yeast infection may be the source of considerable unwanted annoyance and symptoms include vaginal discharge as well as vulvar itching and burning that may happen to the person at least four, if not more, times a year. To diagnose the problem, the doctor may confirm seeing yeast on a wet prep of the vagina or through growth of Candida yeast species on culture. These methods need to be performed for many recurrent occurrences in a row or else the condition may easily become an irritant vaginitis that does not respond to anti-yeast treatment.

The risk factors involved in recurrent yeast infection could be diabetes and atypical glucose tolerance or even insulin resistance. There is also another factor that comes into play when recurrent yeast infection is to be treated and that is that drug resistance of Candida yeast strains remains effective for a few years rather than decades. This, however, does not mean that drug resistance will not play a role in recurrent yeast infection because as high as 10% of recurrent yeast infections may be caused by different yeast strains.

The best treatment for recurrent yeast infection is Butoconazole because this treatment is readily available without prescription and is a good agent for use against chronic recurrences. No doubt, it is believed that as many as 75% of women may have experienced yeast infection at some point of time in their lives but only as few as 5% have had the misfortune of having recurrent yeast infections. To avoid getting recurrent yeast infection a person needs to control his or her diet which is a very important contributing factor in recurrent yeast infections.

The need to treat the digestive tract is very important, as it is this area which can re-infect the vagina in case it is left untreated. The best diet to be used to avoid recurrent yeast infection consists of fresh vegetables and fruits, fish and poultry, flax seed oil, other essential fatty acids, drinking lots of fresh water, whole grains as well as Vitaklenz. In addition, one should avoid alcohol, animal fats, caffeine, dairy products as well as fast and junk foods, sugar, wheat products as well as white flour products.

One may also take suppository treatment to treat recurrent yeast infections and this involves inserting Boric Acid suppositories twice daily and repeating it for two to four weeks, according to the severity of the infection. In addition, it has also been found that cranberries are useful in treating urinary tract infections because they are rich in Vitamin C, contain substances that prevent bacteria from clinging to the urinary tracts’ walls and help to lower the pH of the urine thus helping to combat yeast infections.

The Case Of Chronic Yeast Infection

Known as Chronic Candidiasis in medical terms, chronics yeast infection is the result of an overgrowth of yeast in the gastrointestinal tract. However, it can also occur in association with mucus membrane. A range of factors underlying a high risk of chronics yeast infection includes using antibiotics, taking birth control pills, taking diet rich in carbohydrates, yeast-containing diet, and pregnancy (in case of women).

Symptoms Of The Condition

Chronic yeast infection is represented by a variety of symptoms depending on the specific type of infection. In case of women, for example, vaginal infection by yeast shows in recurring symptoms of itching, sensation of burning, and abnormality in discharge. Gastrointestinal infection is shown by symptoms of heartburn, bloating, constipation or diarrhea. Respiratory allergies with sneezing and wheezing is another indicator of the condition. Menstrual abnormalities in women can also point to infection with yeast. Anxiety, depressed mood, frequent memory lapses, and lack of concentration are all the symptoms associated with the effect of chronic candidiasis on the nervous system. Fatigue, headache, and irritability are some of the other general symptoms associated with yeast infection.

Diagnosis

Chronic candidiasis is a condition that still lacks a highly precise and clear definition. Therefore, no laboratory test exists that can point out the disease clearly. For practical purposes, all cases of recurring vaginal irritation and thick vaginal discharge are considered as possible cases of chronic candidiasis at the root. Patients with general complaints as mentioned above receive a physical examination, CBC (Complete Blood Count) test, tests for serum and liver enzymes, and testing of thyroid glands. If these tests reveal no other dysfunction, then chronics yeast infection is considered as the possible cause of the symptoms reported.

Treatment Of Chronic Yeast Infection

Therapies for treating chronic candidiasis include extended treatment with anti-fungal drugs until the symptoms are totally eliminated. Nystatin is the most popular drug for this purpose, taken orally and (in women with vaginal infection) as suppository. Also, dietary changes are suggested, especially a check on foods rich in sugar or simple carbohydrates. A more specialized therapy is candida allergy shots i.e. enabling the immune system of the body to block future growth of candida after it has been injected into the patient’s body in very small amounts.

Means Of Prevention

Preventing chronic yeast infection requires you to avoid moldy (hot and damp) environments, practice regular body cleansing (bowel, kidney, liver and mouth), remain physically active, and wear clothes that allow sufficient air inside so that the body remains free of sweat accumulation. Use yogurt in your food in proper amount to kill the
infectious yeast in the bowels.

Identifying Candida Yeast Infection Symptoms

If you’re young, not sexually active, and you’ve never experienced candida yeast infection symptoms, you may not realize that you have, in fact, contracted this common and pesky condition. If you’re a “first-timer,” you’ll probably have a mom and maybe older sisters, or even close female friends that have already met candida up close and personal. Candida yeast infection symptoms aren’t going to go away without treatment. In fact, the symptoms will worsen the longer you leave the infection untreated. Ask someone! Someone whom you trust and aren’t embarrassed to discuss such feminine matters with. Chances are very good that any woman you talk with, or even any male physician, will know that you’re most likely experiencing candida yeast infection symptoms.

I’ve Never Had A Candida Yeast Infection. What Are Its Symptoms?

Once you’ve had this type of vaginal infection, you’ll know quickly and accurately when you’re experiencing another. This condition is also generically referred to as “vaginitis,” but so are other vaginal infections such as trichomonas and bacterial infections.

The candida yeast infection symptoms include itching and burning of the outer vaginal area, redness and inflammation of the labia, and a heavy, odorous vaginal discharge. If you ignore these “red flag” symptoms, the infection may travel to your urethra resulting in one of the most dreaded “female” diseases, the excruciatingly painful urinary tract infection. You may be able to ignore the candida yeast infection symptoms and hope it goes away on its own, but you will never ignore a urinary tract infection caused by the yeast infection! The bloody urine, the constant feeling of needing to urinate, and the intolerable pain upon urination will send you flying to your physician. Fortunately, while you’re being treated for the urinary tract infection your physician will also treat the underlying candida yeast infection symptoms that caused this mess to begin with.

It may be very uncomfortable, but your gynecologist will need to do a pelvic examination for you to make sure his/her diagnosis is correct. This isn’t a great time for a pelvic exam since your vaginal area is already painful, but keep in your mind that a gynecologist is a specialist; he/she won’t do anything unnecessary to cause you more discomfort.

Finally, to correctly identify candida yeast infection symptoms, your gynecologist will need a urine and blood sample to rule out more serious, even life-threatening conditions like cancer, chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, genital herpes, genital warts, and syphilis.
